Welcome!!!
Hello and greetings to
everyone who is tuned into this new blog titled "Ethical Issues in
Communication." I am the author, Shania Wollaston, who is a third-year
student at the Northern Caribbean University pursuing a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Criminology. This blog,
titled Ethical Issues in Communication, is the service-learning requirement of
the criminology concentration course called SOCI460 Communication, Technology,
and Society. This course looks at the issue of communication and technology
from a cross-cultural perspective, with particular emphasis on the diverse
Jamaican society. The course is designed to meet the needs of undergraduates
interested in communication and technology. It is aimed at helping the student
understand the varying societal responses to technology and the power of
communication in society. This course is for six weeks, and with this, there will
be six blog posts on six different types of ethical issues evident in
communication that will be discussed weekly. This blog is one that will be
educational, engaging, and informative for all readers, so you kindly asked
when, finished reading the various blog posts, leave a comment of what you had learned and also how
this blog post was educational and helpful to you. Stay
tuned for the blog posts that will be posted soon. Farewell
In preparation for the
blog posts to begin, there is a link provided below for the readers to be
